Louisville, KY

Ann Nadine Hopkins Williams, of Louisville, KY passed away on October 4, 2026 she was born May 31, 1933. God gave her a good long life of almost 93 1/2 years. She was the daughter of Hiley Akers and Bill Hopkins. She has two sisters, Fanny Brock and Ronella Whitehead.

Her family includes many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, plus 18 Grandchildren. 26 Great-grandchildren. 17 Great-great grandchildren. Her living children are Jerry Forester (Rosemary) and Family of Pineville, Kentucky, Shirley Carlisle (Bennie) and Family of Winter Haven, Florida, Carol Clark (Steve) and Family of Louisville, KY, Linda Ingle (Clarence) and Family of Clinton, TN, Hedgle Saylor, Jr. (Misty) and Family of Louisville, Kentucky and Raynn Erwin (Kenneth) and Family of Kettle Island, Kentucky.

Because of the blessing of a long life, Ann has lots of family and friends who have known her, love her and will miss her very much. Even though we can’t call out each family member’s or friend’s names, know that she loved each of you.

Throughout her life, she was a daughter, student, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and quite the businesswoman. She enjoyed travelling, reading, gardening, and planting flowers. Plus, she loved animals and birds, especially hummingbirds. In addition, she liked watching old western movies on the GRIT channel. Two of her favorite western actors were John Wayne and Audie Murphy. She has lived in the states of Kentucky, New York, Virginia and Tennessee, with her final residence being in Louisville, KY.

There is just so much one can say about a person in a short time. One thing we know is that she was a strong and capable person that pushed through life’s difficulties and challenges and God gave her the grace to keep going. All of us are thankful for that example and for her love. Ann’s favorite recent quote was, “I Love Life” and she squeezed every bit of it out that she could!

Finally, and most importantly of all, we are comforted in knowing that she made a profession of faith by trusting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and that we can see her again if we also do the same.
