Charles Bennett

November 12, 1932 — October 20, 2014

Beloved Uncle Charles Bennett age 81 of Hulen was called home to be with his Savior Monday morning October 20, 2014 at Pineville Community Hospital after a long illness. Born November 12, 1932 at Hulen, KY, Charles was the youngest of the late Walter Bennett and Bertha Calloway Bennett’s eight children. Preceding him in death are his parents and seven siblings, Eula Lee Bennett, Norris Clayton Bennett, Angela Bennett Helton, Curtis Calloway Bennett, Gladys Bennett Daugherty, James Elmer Bennett, and Donald Vernon Bennett.

He is survived by his special niece and great niece and caregivers Bobbie Daugherty-Miracle and Michelle Beth Miracle, special nephew Ronald Daugherty as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and sister-in-law Anna Bennett.

Charles was a member of the Calloway Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as his personal Savior in 1977. He loved everyone and was always ready to tell them about Jesus. He never failed to point out the goodness people had within them if they would only look hard enough.

Charles was a veteran of the Air Force, he proudly served his country during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955.

Charles was a school bus driver twenty-seven years for the Bell County School System where he had a great influence on many young people. He loved his school bus passengers but could be strict with them when necessary to guide them in making smart decisions. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan and his blood truly ran blue. His love of animals, nature, and the environment could only be equaled to his devotion to his family and his favorite hobby of beekeeping. Today the world is without a kind, loving, and gentle soul when the Lord decided to call Charles to his forever home. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved

him.
