Charles Bennett

Charles Bennett age 66, went home to be with his heavenly father on Friday January 23, 2015 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Charles was born on April 11, 1948 in Pineville, KY. His strong love of God was exemplified through his daily devout Christian life, Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved sports and was the “Home Run King” on Dr. Raders softball team, the Raiders. He was a coal miner and Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Hensley’s Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents Docie and Bob Bennett he was preceded in death by father and mother-in-law, Roy and Maggie Jones; brothers J.D Bennett and Kenny Bennett; brother-in-law Roy Jones; Nephew Sean Ferry; nieces Heather Jones and Emma Grace Fuson.

Left to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 44 years, Joyce Bennett; sisters Lorraine (Joe) Asher, Ira Mae (Paul) Cummins, Joanie (Kenny) Bennett, Anna (Harry), Lisa (Ronnie) Hubbard; brothers Jerry (Debbie) Bennett, Stevie Bennett and Jeff Holland; sister-in-laws Wilma (Jack) Taylor, Maxine (Kenneth) Neal and Pat (Jack) Harris. A host of nieces, nephews who loved their Uncle Charles dearly.

Charles loved all his friends dearly and had a very special friend Frank Hoskins, whom he loved as a brother.
