Charles Brackett

Rev. Brackett was born on August 3, 1934 in Pineville, KY and entered the joys of Heaven on

March 5, 2016 in Charlotte, NC at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 2 days.

He was an ordained minister of the Church of God of Prophecy, ordained at the age of 23 years

old. He served in many capacities of the Church including pastor for almost 50 years, evangelist

and auxiliary secretary for many years, District Overseer, International Church Questions and

Subjects Biblical Committee member, Church College Board Member and other various

committees. He was faithful in any task requested of him to perform and loved serving in all

these positions as he served the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elsie Butler Brackett, who stood by his side as they

ministered together. Son, Joel Brackett (Susan), daughters Jenitha Brackett, Jerilyn Garza, and

son, John Brackett (Becky). Grandchildren: CJ Brackett, Rebecca Brackett, Amanda Garza and

Anthony Garza. Great grandchildren: Blake Brackett, Caleb Brackett, Ethan Brackett, Jackson

Brackett, Darla Brackett and CJ Brackett, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Damie Brackett, 5 brothers, Herb, Orville,

Homer, Bobby and James Brackett. Two sisters, Beulah Dean and Myrtle Brackett. One son-in-

law, Luis Garza.
