Charles Edward Bailey, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, departed this world on October 15, 2025, in Flatlick, Kentucky. Born on April 18, 1955, in Pineville, Kentucky, Charles lived a life enriched by his passions and the love of his family.
Charles was known for his adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He took great pride in mowing his grass. These activities brought him peace and happiness, providing cherished moments that would later become treasured memories for his loved ones.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Virgie Bailey, who provided him with the foundation of love and values, forging the path he would walk in life; two grandchildren, Maxwell Bailey and Courtney Collett.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Dorothy Bailey, Their bond epitomized love and companionship, a testament to their years together. Charles is survived by his son, Nelson Bailey, and his fiancé, Kristal, and his daughter, Melissa Bailey, alongside her partner, Paul Hobbs. Each of his children carries a piece of his legacy.
Charles was also a proud brother to Wade, Kenneth, Chester, Mitchell, Matthew, and Rodney Bailey and cherished his relationship with sister Debbie Green. A dedicated grandfather, Charles embraced each moment spent with his grandchildren: Timothy Collett, Wendalyn Bailey (fiancé Chris ), Megan McCulley, Hannah McCulley, and Breanna McCulley; great-grandchildren, Carter Lee Hubbard, Sophia Brock, Maylin Brock, and Reed Collins; alongside these living family members, he is also remembered fondly by his son-in-law, Roy Collett.
A Graveside Service will be held on October 17, 2025, beginning at 3:00 PM, with family and friends gathering to honor and celebrate Charles' remarkable life and enduring spirit.
