Charles Edgar Carroll

Mr. Charles Edgar Carroll, 93, of Ingram, entered heaven Tuesday afternoon, June 18, 2024 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the son of the late Willie and Leona Rickett Carroll born September 17, 1930 in Cawood. Ed was a former employee of BRC Coal Company and a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Abbie Green Carroll; son, Eddie Carroll; grandsons, Derek Barnett and Bo Barnett; brothers, Kenny Carroll, Dorce Carroll and John Carroll and sons-in-law, Woody Collett and David Crockett.

Left to carry on his legacy are his loving children, Kay Crockett, Brenda Collett, Mary Barnett and husband, Ricky, Sherry Carroll, Kevin Carroll and wife, Angela, and Kim Mike; brother, Burl Carroll; cherished grandchildren, Kristie Pratt and husband, Josh, Tommy Crockett and wife, Laura, Jenna Sams and husband, Matt, Charity Hayes and husband, Bill, Josh Collett and fiancé, Angela, Brandon Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Justin Taylor and wife, Ashley, Madison Horton and fiancé, Brandon, Courtney Carroll, Makenzie Green and husband, Blaine, Tanner Mike and fiancé, Abbey and Trevor Mike; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Pratt, Maddox Pratt, Karisyn Pratt, Allyson Crockett, Easton Crockett, Mattalyn Sams, John Hayes, Annison Hayes, Gracie Collett, Abbie Collett, Sofie Collett, Brooklyn Collett, Waylon Barnett, Kylie Barnett, Presley Barnett, Amaya Barnett, Ava Barnett, Harper Taylor, Masen Mike and Beckham Green, who is arriving soon; among other relatives and dear friends.

His funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home Friday, June 21 at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in the Carroll Cemetery at Ingram.

Serving as casket bearers will be Tommy Crockett, Josh Collett, Justin Taylor, Tanner Mike and Trevor Mike. Serving as honorary bearers will be Billy Terrell Bailey, Mike Carroll, Terry Carroll, Clay Carroll, Darrell Brooks, Freddie Mays and Justin Mays.

The family will receive friends Friday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
