Johnny Collins

Johnny Lawson Collins, age 78 of Pineville, KY passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Mountain View Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. He was born on September 29, 1944, in Middlesboro, KY to the late John and Cora Marie Collins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Cobb; son Paul Lawson Collins; brothers Stevie Collins, David Collins and George Collins; sister-in-law Judy Collins.

Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Collins; grandson who was like a son, Jonathon “Jon Jon” Collins (Savanna) and soon to be great-grandson; sister Janie VanBever; nephews’ David (Brenda) Collins and Jerry Collins; nieces Carolyn Redmond and Rita Sutton; great-niece Crystal Collins; A host of family friends. The family would like to thank Mountain View Nursing Home and Rehabilitation for taking great care of Johnny.

Memorial Services will be on Saturday July 1, 2023 after 6PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home and interment will follow at a later date in Smith Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Collins family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
