Mike Cox

Steven Michael (Mike) Cox age 50 of Pineville, KY passed away Wednesday November 28, 2018 at his home. He was born June 12, 1968 in Pineville, KY to Freida Hoskins Cox and the late Otis “Buddy” Cox. Mike was a 1986 graduate of Bell County High School and a 1988 graduate of Mid America College of Mortuary Science. Mike followed in his father’s footsteps and worked along-side of him as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer; he managed Durham Funeral Home for many years; He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, son and friend and was loved by so many in the community that he served.

In addition to his father Buddy, he was preceded in death by his bother Richard Cox and nephew William Cox.

Survivors include his daughter Macy (Seth) Chambers and son Colton Michael Cox; mother Freida Cox; grandson Isaiah Jordan Chambers; sisters Cheryl (Arnold) Fuson, Kim (Toby) Haley and Lisa (Gary) Fuson.

Memorial services will be Saturday December 1, 2018 after 6PM until 8PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Bro. Arthur Jackson and Toby Haley. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Cox family
