Elizabeth Taylor, born on September 16, 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland, left this world on December 31, 2025, at St. Joseph, London, Kentucky. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a beloved sister and friend.
Elizabeth's life was marked by her deep love for family and her joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was particularly fond of the beach.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, James and Joyce Shipley, and her granddaughter, Aliena Taylor.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Garrett Wayne Taylor, who stood by her side throughout their journey together; her son, Garrett Wayne Taylor Jr., and treasured grandson, Dalton Taylor, who brought her immense joy. Elizabeth also leaves behind her brothers and sisters: Buddy Shipley, Rosemary Shipley, James Shipley, and Phyllis Jones. In addition, she is survived by her brothers-in-law, Douglas Lynn (Rhoda) Taylor, Marvin (Sharon) Taylor, and Jimmy (Rita) Taylor, and her special friend, Harold DeRossett.
A visitation in honor of Elizabeth will take place on January 4, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home, located at 205 West Kentucky Avenue, Pineville, KY 40977. Funeral services will be 2 PM with Rev. Bill Engle, Jr., burial will follow in Taylor cemetery at Fourmile, KY.
