Fred Albert Goodin 70, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday October 16, 2010 at The Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Ingram on October 15, 1940 to the late Will and Roxie Goodin. Fred had been a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church for 53 years and had retired from A&P.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers J.S Goodin, Leroy Goodin and Billy Don Goodin and sister Irene Goodin.

He is survived by his wife Irene Goodin; children Dewayne Goodin and wife Sabrina; Tammy Brock and husband Donnie; Brothers Finley Goodin, Kinley Goodin, Bobby Ray Goodin; Grandchildren Kristen Brock, Justin Brock, Kaylee Goodin, Connor Goodin, Brooke Goodin, Allen Goodin and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday October 19, 2010, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Bays, Rev. Arnold Petry and Rev. David Fuson; music will be provided by The Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church and The Thompson family; Pallbearers will be Donald Perry, Tommy Garland, Dewey Middleton, RobbyLandrum, Eb Asher, Jim Woodruff, Bobby Glenn Slusher and Ron Gilley; Honorary Pallbearers will be Elden Asher Jr., Glenn Slusher, Russell Miracle, Tommy Asher, Norman Landrum, Lee Stewart and Dr. Steven Morgan. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 Monday October 18, 2010 at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and is honored to be serving the Goodin family.
