Virgil Hendrickson

Rev. Virgil “Poon” Hendrickson, age 76 of Middlesboro, KY, passed away August 28, 2020. He was born May 16, 1944 a son of the late Virgil and Rhoda Webb Hendrickson. Poon was a member of Ferndale Baptist Church; he loved life and his family especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to watch the Kentucky Wildcats play.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Hendrickson, Faye Hoskins, Reba Hendrickson and Eva Hendrickson; bothers Johnny Bear Hendrickson and Billy Ray Hendrickson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Imogene Cox Hendrickson; daughter Theresa Ann Hendrickson; sons Jeffery Scott (Brandi) Hendrickson and David Scott Hendrickson; grandsons that he loved so much, Brandon Brock, Dustin (Amber) Hendrickson, Ryan (Donna) Hendrickson, Justin (Fronnie) Cupp; great-grandchildren Jaxon, Olivia, Emma, Isiah, Trey and Natlee; special boys Collin and Dalton; Sisters Rosalee (Fred) Gregory and Christine Webb; brothers Don Hendrickson, Paul Hendrickson and Bill Hendrickson; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends after 6PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 until 9PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 2PM with Rev. Clarence Mason and Rev. Thomas Mason; music will be provided by Jared Smith and Rev. Thomas Mason; burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, Pineville with Timmy Mason, Brandon Brock, Jared Smith, Dustin Hendrickson, Ryan Hendrickson and Justin Cupp as pallbearers. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to take care of the Hendrickson family.
