Leonard Hubbard

Leonard "Slim" Hubbard, 97 of Pineville passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Pineville Community Hospital. He was born June 2, 1917 in Clay County, Kentucky.

Leonard was one of the few remaining veterans of World War II. He was a member of the Military Police and served in the Rhineland Air Offensive in Europe. He received an American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mossie B. Hubbard, his son Terry Lee, his parents Mary and James Hubbard, siblings, Nancy Ann Grubb, Hobart, Raymond James (RJ), Lee Roy and Bradley Hubbard.

He is survived by his son Perry Hubbard (Oregon, OH), daughter and son-in-law Linda and Doug Yeary (Shawanee, TN), granddaughter Terrie Hubbard-James (Mira Loma, CA), grandson Jay Randall, siblings Elsie Wilkins (Louisville, KY), Thomas Jefferson (Pineville, KY) and host of nieces and nephews.
