Joshua Cox

Joshua Cox, age 75 of Arjay, KY passed away on June 13, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 2, 1949, in Bell Co, KY to Calvin Cox and the late, Callie B. Warren Cox. Joshua was a believer in the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed hunting for Ginseng.

Joshua is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frieda Cox; son Michael Wayne Cox; grandchildren, Austin Cox and Madison Cox (Nathanial Jones) brothers, Matthew (Jewel)Cox and Delbert (Mary) Cox both of Turkey Creek, KY; sister Christine (David) Nunn of New Tazwell, TN; special friend Elmer Jeffers; a host of nieces, nephews’ other relatives and many friends. The family would like to thank the community for their outpouring of love, prayers and generous donations.

A memorial service for Joshua will be 12 noon on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Arjay Community Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Jimmy Johnson, Rev. Dylan Carnes and Rev. Phillip Jackson; music will be provided by Madison Cox. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Cox family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
