Georgia Lee Lester 81 of Middlesboro passed away Saturday October 30, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 10, 1929 in Bell County to the late Gillus and Abbie Green Brooks. Georgia was retired from Middlesboro Independent were she taught school for 35 years, she was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Everett Slusher; son Eddie Slusher and brother Jack Brooks.

Survivors include her daughter Kaye (Jesse) North; grandchildren Jody (Melissa) North, Jessica (Donny) Grigsby and Travis Slusher; great-grandchildren Taylor Blake Grigsby, Holden Conner North, Hallie Caitlyn North, Brooklyn Dawn Grigsby, Travis Dalton Slusher and Cayden Bryce Grigsby; brother Estill (Verla) Brooks; sisters Jewell (Billy Ray) Carroll and Billie Owens; daughter-in-law Wanda Slusher; Larry and Rennie Kidwell, Faith Missionary Baptist Church Congregation family, Agnes Marcum, Bebe Campbell and special friends; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday November 1, 2010, at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kidwell; Pallbearers will be Johnny Brooks, Jim Brooks, Tony Brooks, Tim Brooks, Teddy Brooks, Darrell Brooks, Jackie Brooks, Terry Carroll, Mike Carroll and Mark Owens; Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse North, Billy Ray Carroll, Donny Grigsby and Freddie Mays. Burial will follow in Mills Cemetery at Tinsley, KY.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 Monday November 1, 2010 at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and is honored to be serving the Lester family.
