Gene Miller

Gene Miller 75 of New Tazewell, TN formerly of Arjay, KY passed away Sunday Jan 1, 2012. He was born in Arjay on December 25, 1936. He was the son of the late Floyd and Pearl Miller. He had been a coal Miner and a believer in the Holiness faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Flo LaQuida Miller; sisters Bessie Carnes, Ruby Smith, Evelyn Collett and Berthie Miller; brother Ernest Miller.

Survivors include his sons Glen Miller of Tazewell, TN, Eugene ( Tammy) Miller of Tazewell, TN, Charlie (Tammy) Miller of Arjay, KY, John ( Gloria) Miller of Tazewell, TN and George ( Mary Ann) Miller of Straight Creek, KY.; daughters Louise (Ricky) Elliott of Harrogate, TN, Martha (Rodney) Holland of Arjay, KY, Cealia Miller of Tazewell, TN and Ruby ( Tim) Parton of Arjay, KY.; brothers Arnold ( Mary Lou) Miller of Manchester, KY and Earl ( Margaret) Miller of Knox Co., KY; sister Mattie Frye of Arjay, KY.; Grandchildren Jenny (Don) Hurst, Charlene (Randall) Walker, Eugene Jacob Miller, Melissa, Crystal, John, James, Genia, Amanda, Charlie Elizabeth, Daniel Elizabeth, Michael, Kendra, Jacob, Caleb, Caitlyn, Justin, Caden Miller, Makayla, Casey, Chase, Blaine, Tamara, William, Brandon, Lindsay, Courtney, Brittany, Shawn, Makayla Jamie, Hunter Jeremiah; 17 Great-grandchildren; A host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday January 6, 2011, at The Arjay Pentecostal Church with Rev. Gary Wagner, Rev. Ron Hensley and Rev. Eric Jordan. Pallbearers will be John Miller, James Miller, Rodney Holland, Justin Goodin, Eugene Miller and Daniel Miller; Burial follow in the Scott Cemetery in Harrogate, TN

The family will receive friends after 12 noon Wednesday January 4, 2012 at the Arjay Pentecostal Church and all day Thursday, January 5, 2012 and Friday until the funeral hour at 2 PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and is honored to be serving the Miller family.
