Rella Napier

Rella B. Napier, age 87 Bean Station, formerly of Fourmile, KY peacefully went to eternal rest with her Lord and savior on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 with her loving family by her side. She was a member of Yocum Creek Baptist Church, Everts, KY but attended Riverside Baptist Church, Fourmile, KY.

Rella was a very kind and loving lady who loved her Lord and savior. Rella’s passion was doing for others, quilting and reading. She was never blessed to have biological children of her own but was blessed to have nieces and nephews to whom she was a mother to.

Rella was preceded in death by her husband Green Napier, parents Joseph and Octavia Dunn, Brothers Virgil, Hurlus, Charlie, Sim and Hubert Dunn, half sisters Leoma and Hazel Jackson. She is survived by her sister Irene Hubbard, Bean Station, TN, with whom she made her home. Irene and Rella were not only sisters; they were best friends, in which they always had a special bond. Irene and her children were her caregivers.

Other survivors include sister in laws Dorlene Dunn and Mary Francis Dunn of Middlesboro, KY, nieces and nephews who loved and cared for her very much. Pamela (Gene) Marcum, Rutledge, TN, Janice (Dan) Wilder, Morristown, TN, Linda(Fred) Guy, Bean station, TN, Gina(Bobby) Williams, Bean station, TN, Jimmy(Judy) Hubbard, Bean station, TN, J.E.(Gina) Dunn, Lafollette, TN, Ricky(Jenny) Dunn, Fourmile, KY, Virgil(Patty) Dunn, Tazewell, TN, several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Rella will be dearly missed by her family awaiting the fulfillment of the promise by Jesus, John 5:28-29. So rest peacefully dear Rella B, Isaiah 33:24, the inhabitant shall not say “I am sick.

Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Friday , November 12, 2010, at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Murphy Buell and Rev. Ray Spicer. Music will be provided by Jessica Dunn. Pallbears J.E. Dunn, Ricky Dunn, Virgil Dunn, Waylon Dunn, Shawn Dunn, Kyle Dunn. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5until 8 Thursday November 11, 2010 at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and is honored to be serving the Napier family.
