Rosemary Raby age 70 of Kettle Island, KY went home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2023. She was born on June 1, 1952, in Pineville, KY to the late Jessee and Ollie Jane Raby. Rosemary was a believer in the Pentecostal faith and was a member of House of Refuge; she loved the Lord and her family; she devoted her life to the Lord and her children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Charles Timothy Raby and sister Helen Elder; beloved brother-in-law Douglas Slusher.
Survivors include her daughters Tina Blevins of Pineville, KY and Shawna (Samuel) Partin of Pineville, KY; sisters Brenda Slusher of Daytona, FL, Betty June Laws of Pineville, KY and Elizabeth Dimilte of Saint Could, FL; brothers Phillip Patrick Raby of NC, Anthony (Yvonne) Raby of TN and Jack (Tiffany) Raby of Kettle Island, KY.; grandchildren Charles (Alicia) Blevins III, Courtney Nicole (Kyle) Smith, Keith (Jamie) Jackson and Sadie (Tyler) Blevins; great-grandchildren Addison Ellen Rose Jackson, Axyl Wyatt Blevins, Willow Rain Blevins and Barrett Cody Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews’ other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 28, 2023, at 2PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Ledford; music will be provided by House of Refuge choir; burial will follow in Philpot cemetery, Kettle Island, KY with Keith Jackson, Ethan Raby, Wayne Blevins, Shawn Asher, Doug Slusher, Robert Slusher, Darrell Laws, Joshua Laws and Kenny Asher serving as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 6PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, until 9PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home and on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 9AM-9PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home and on Friday April 28, 2023 until the funeral hour at 2PM. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Raby family and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
