James Shepherd

James W. Shepherd, age 56 of Arjay, KY passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Mountain View Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Pineville. He was born May 2, 1965 in Pineville, KY to Emma Jean Lewis Shepherd and the late James Willard Shepherd. James had served in the United States Navy and been a welder.

In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by his brother Bill Shepherd; sister Tammy Hatfield and sister-in-law Sheila Shepherd; brothers-in-law Paul Cox and Lonnie Carnes.

Survivors include his mother, Emma Jean Shepherd; brothers John (Melissa) Shepherd and Gary Shepherd;

sisters Miley (Mike) Fishero, Kimberly (Arnold) Cox, Donna Cox and Barbara (Larry) Taylor; special nieces that was like a daughter, Lyndsey Brooke Shepherd and Madison Shepherd; a host of nieces, nephews’ other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends after 12 noon on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home until the funeral at 2PM.

Funeral Services will be Monday, May 10, 2021 at 2PM at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner; burial will follow in Big Jim Cemetery, Arjay, KY with family and friends as pallbearers.
