James Simpson

James “Jim” Robert Simpson age 71 of Pineville, KY passed away January 8, 2016. He was born June 20, 1944 in Bell County, KY to the late John Simpson and Lola Johnson Simpson.

He is survived by his wife Freda Simpson, children Lola Marie Simpson Bradley (Terry), James Robert Simpson Jr., “ Jamie” (Stephanie Goodin) and David Coleson Simpson (Penny Slone); Brother Franklin Simpson of Indiana and sister Beulah West of Knox co; grandchildren Jessica Mills Venable, James Dalton Simpson, John Austin Simpson, Amber Nicole Bradley, Makayla Faith Simpson “Kay Kay” and Jameson Steven Simpson Great-grandchildren Peyton Grace Venable, Parker “Parker man” Venable, Presley Ryley Venable; Special friend Donna Howard; special cousins Mary Belle and Nannie Goodin and Brother-in-law Jerry Griffith; host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be Tuesday January 12, 2016 at Brooks- Durham Funeral Home at 2PM. Pallbearers will be Philip Goodin, Donald Reefer, Big John Hensley, Berlin Howard, Michael Mosley and Johnny Philpot; honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Mohan, Saint Joseph Hospital-London, Terry Mason, home-health nurse and friend June and Pineville Community Hospital Physical Therapy Sherry Smith. Burial will follow in Mills Cemetery at Tinsley, The family will receive friends Tuesday January 12, 2016 after 12 noon at Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home is honored to serve the Simpson family.
