Elsie Smith Rutherford, 75 of Dorton Branch passed away December 11, 2012 at Saint Joes Main, Hospice in Lexington, KY. She was born March 10, 1937 to the late Andrew and Noda Smith Jackson. She had worked in housekeeping at Pineville Community Hospital.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husbands Garrett Smith and Bobby Rutherford; daughter Martha Whitehead; granddaughter Crystal North; sister Nancy Harris.
Survivors include her children Birdie Holman and fiancé Billy Washam of Dorton Branch; son Gary Smith of Pineville; grandchildren Eric Washam, Jeff Washam, Heath Washam, Tim Smith, Jason Smith, Jeremy Smith, Travis Smith and J.B Napier; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
