Trula Brummett, a beloved mother and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in Pineville, Kentucky, at the age of 98. Born on October 2, 1927, in Davisburg, Kentucky, Trula dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker, nurturing her family with a warmth and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew her.
A devoted member of Harmony Baptist Church, Trula found strength and comfort in her faith; she enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, often found watching her favorite television shows, quilting, roses and brute snuff. However, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored deeply.
Trula was proceeded in death by her parents, Earl and Wyona Sharp; her husband, John H. Brummett; her daughter, Glenda Faye; son-in-law, Benny Jones; son, John Millard Brummett; and daughter-in-law, Deb Brummett.
She is survived by her children: Zella Carter, Judy (Mike) Holman, Rose (Lester) Barrett, Dave (Andrea) Brummett, and Richard Brummett. Trula's legacy lives on through her loving family, which includes 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
In remembering Trula, we hold close the laughter, the stories, and the countless moments shared over the years. Her gentle spirit and loving nature will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
