Shirley June Brock Simpson Vaughn, age 84 of Harrogate, TN departed this life on October 24, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital, Knoxville, TN. She was born December 13, 1938, in Pineville, KY to the late Grant Brock Jr., and Virgie Helton Brock Caldwell. She had been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three children, Donald Glen Simpson, Judy Lynn Simpson Caldwell and William (Bill) Vaughn; husband William Andrew Vaughn; granddaughter Jessica Lee Caldwell; siblings Bobby Wayne Brock, James (Chicken) Brock, Patricia Ann Caldwell and Jerry Glen Caldwell; very special grandmother, Rebecca Jane Brock and grandfather Grant Brock; grandparents James and Betty Helton; stepchildren, L.B Vaughn, William Vaughn Jr., and Gwenia Vaughn.
Survivors include her children, Linda Sue Simpson Maynard, David Wayne Simpson, Janie Bernice Simpson, Shirley (Sissy) Vaughn, Kathy Marie Vaughn and Billie Jean Helton; grandchildren, Mikita Lynn Wilson, Melissa (Missy) Lynn Paugh, Judy Lee Osborne, Tracy Nicole Caldwell, Samantha (Sammie) Danielle Caldwell Hill, Baxter (Littleman) Lee Caldwell II, Bruce Allen Haley, Kevin Dewayne Haley, Tyler Dewayne Haley, William (Will) Vaughn, Tommy Alan Vaughn, Tracie Lynn Vaughn, Kenny Austin Vaughn, Jake Dewayne Caldwell, Bobby Allen Caldwell, Melinda Kay Cinnamon, David Allen Simpson, Davis Scott Simpson, Jennifer Lynn Hartman, Shaun Christopher Beggs, Trevor Austin Gibson, Dewayne Helton, Brittany Jean Helton and Austin Wayne Helton; brothers, Phillip Allen Caldwell and Harold Eugene Caldwell; stepchildren, Ken Vaughn, Larry Vaughn, Lester Vaughn, Ronnie Vaughn and Connie Vaughn; A host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews’ other relatives and friends.She shared a special bond with lil’ Randy.
Graveside services will be on Friday October 27, 2023, at 2PM at Brock Cemetery at Kettle Island, with Rev. Joe Caldwell Jr., and Rev. Gerdan Saylor.
