Vera Ruth Schott Wilson, passed away on Monday, August 8 ,2011 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center. She was born in Pontiac, Illinois on September 25, 1920 the daughter of the late Howard and Mabel Branz Schott. She had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Howard Wilson; Son Raymond Wilson; Grandson John Steven Wilson; Sons-in-law John Clayton Golden, Raymond Eugene Platts, Jr.; brothers Lloyd Schott, Roy Schott, Ivan Schott, Donald Schott, Gail Schott and Wayne Schott; sister Shirley Schott.

Survivors include her children Ruth Platts of Huntington Woods, Michigan, Kenneth (Kathy) Wilson, Betty Golden of Pineville, KY, John (Sharon) Wilson of Topeka, Kansas, Barbara (James) Golden of Pineville, KY; brothers Ellis Schott, David Schott; sisters Mary Mason and Doris McDonald; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and a large number of friends that also considered Mrs. Wilson as their “grandma”

Services will be 10 :00 AM on Saturday August 13, 2011 at the Duffy Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Golden. Burial will be in the Camp- Esmen Cemetery in Odell, Illinois Pallbearers; Chad Golden, Shane Golden, John Golden, Keith Wilson, Kevin Wilson and Brent Fuson. Honorary Pallbearers; Dominic Vitale, David Warren, Craig Annas, John Flowers, Raymond Platts, Matt Wilson, John Wilson, Carl Gunwall and Ronnie Cornelius. The visitation will be Wednesday August 10, 2011 from 6 until 8 at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville Kentucky. The family will also receive friends Friday August 12, 2011 at the Duffy Funeral Home in Pontiac, Illinois from 5 until 7. The Brooks-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, is honored to be serving the Wilson Family.
